We are organising a taster day on the 14th April for potential new beekeepers. Click here for information and reply to croydonbeekeeping@gmail.com SBKA would like to know who is interested in attending a course to learn how to make Mead or improve their Mead Making. It is thought it would be held in about late June. At this stage I need to know the following: Your name, division, email contact. Experience in Mead Making from 1 to 5 ( 1 being none) to 5 (tried over the years but still not perfected)
Micheal Badger and Erica Osborn will be running the course. I know this is a specialized area and there will not be a huge uptake as in previous courses but it is IMPORTANT you reply to this TODAY if you wish to be included in the pool of people for whom the course will be organised. Basic Assessment Following on from last years success we will be running another study group open to anyone wanting to take the assessment this year. The plan is to meet on a Monday evening starting at the beginning of April. The assessment is an informal practical assessment Covering the skills you will have learnt during your first year as a beekeeper. If anyone is interested please let me know. - The Chairman
